A cloud-based system for managing Environmental Impact Assessments

Why Choose easyeia?

Value Proposition

easyeia has been developed to make searching for environmental data easier, whilst reducing the risk of human error.

The Environmental Impact Assessment and approval process can be quite complex, easyeia makes this process simple by completing searches of key risk constraints and providing advice on how to manage any detected issues. Not only do you get a report containing a map and details of each identified constraint, but you are also able to complete your Part 5 (Division 5.1) report. Making for a one stop shop for your EIA needs.

System Highlights

easyeia has been developed on the latest cloud-based platforms to provide an intuitive and easy to understand process for assessing environmental impacts.

An easily navigable interface is provided to enable you to zoom and pan to your area of interest. A number of search tools are provided with each query returning individual maps of each constraint with some layers also providing the information in a table.

Depending upon how the works are categorised, a number of report options are available. Progress can be saved at anytime with the ability to pause your report and come back at a later time. You can also have a number of reports on the go at once, without the need to finalise one before starting another report.

Report approval workflows can be tailored to your organisation structure to ensure any report approvals occur under the applicable delegations.

User Features

easyeia is a subscription cloud-based service designed to make the EIA process more efficient and drive consistency. Being cloud-based, the system is not dependent upon integrating with internal operating systems and access can be easily provided to third parties, where required. All assessments are retained by the system, providing for effective EIA document management, storage and retrieval.

easyeia incorporates flexible user interface tools enabling the selection of input tools, such as a point, line or polygon to define your search or activity area. Environmental constraints will be identified in your search area and either integrated into an assessment report to meet statutory obligations or as a standalone constraints report.

Each search that is run will provide an overview of the interest area, together with a dedicated map of each constraint that is intersected. Making for more clear and concise information. Advice is also provided to guide the user on how to deal with each constraint and what it means for their activity.

Frequently Asked Questions

easyeia is a cloud based system meaning access is simply via most devices that connect to the internet. Cloud based systems offer many benefits including the ability roll out upgrades and can operate outside of your IT systems.

To avoid the frustrations of limited licences, easyeia has adopted a subscription model whereby organisation that subscribe to the service receive the benefit of unlimited users and unlimited reports. We would work with you to understand your likely usage of the system to develop a tailored subscription fee. This will be billed annually providing you with absolutely certainty for annual budgetary purposes.

Cyerbsecurity is an increasing risk to organisations and easyeia has been developed with this need in mind. Two factor authentication and other security measures can be readily incorporated into the system. Furthermore, easyeia has been through quite complex and rigorous cybersecurity assessments prior to being adopted in some organisations.
All data and information is stored on locally Australian based servers. A requirement for high priority infrastructure providers
Yes! The system has been designed to take non environmentally trained people through the environmental impact assessment process. Guidance is provided throughout the completion of the report and advice provided on when you may require the services of an environmental professional.
Although the system is cloud based, you can save progress on your report enabling to work on it as time suits. Furthermore, you can have a number of reports on the go at once, not limiting you to complete one report at a time. Each finalised report is saved in the system enabling you to access any report on demand.

Most data sets are gathered from various government data stores or APIs, however, some data layers have been customised. Data type will determine its frequency of updates. For example, some data layers are static whilst others will be updated on a monthly basis.

Due to the stability of some government websites, the data is cached on servers, however, we are regularly reviewing system performance and ability to switch to live feeds.

Yes! The system is built on a modular platform enabling customisation through the addition of layers. This can include your own network or any particular dataset you would like to use and report on.
