WHO IT’S FOR
Public authorities required to satisfy their obligations under Part 5, Division 5.1 of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and any organisation that is required to undertake environmental assessments.
HOW IT WORKS
The cloud-based system allows log in from any device. Searches can be conducted by pan, zoom or address input. easyeia will display environmental constraints and give management advice for any detected issues.
About easyeia
Certain activities in NSW trigger the completion of an environmental impact assessment.
Numerous environmental legislation may also require separate approval for an activity to be carried out.
In considering the variety of matters to be considered when undertaking an EIA, the adequate completion of reports can become a time consuming exercise adding to the workload burden of employees. A relatively simple and straight forward EIA with limited issues to consider can still take between 4-8 hours to complete, with more complex assessments exceeding 40 hours. easyeia can bring that time down to less than 1 hour.
